I just got a new mountain bike and the seat is very hard. After 2 days or riding the area underneath my testicles were very sore and uncomfortable to sit squarely. The next day I saw blood in my semen, and this is the second day I've seen it. Wondering if the cause is my new bike seat and perhaps it disrupted something down there. I am kind of freaking out; any advice would help.

I have had blood in my semen for a few months. After series of tests, all results turn normal. My urologist seems not concerned at all. He even told me to have more sex to get my all blood out. However, I only see more blood in my semen. I don't know what to do now. I am in my 30s, I used to be active in sports, and after two kids, I have stopped all my sports. I will try to drink more water and start to work out again.

I had a reversal vasectomy 13 years ago. I had a child. I've noticed blood in my semen (not in the urine, it was tested) during sex a while ago, we get crazy and sometimes rough, and felt a pull in my penis. I wonder if I could have ruptured the tube.

I’m currently 19, I started having blood clots come out in my semen 6 or 7 months ago. I believe it might be because I never took care of my health, rarely drinking water, eating junk food, smoking cigarettes and drinking beer, and not doing any kinds of work outs. I’m usually sitting down most of the time and I weigh about 125 pounds. I went to a clinic the other day and had tests run on my urine and blood, doctor said everything came back normal, only thing off was my high blood pressure.

I am 33 years and I have urinary infection. I take treatment but after a while it comes back again. I discovered that any time I have sex I see blood inside the condom. I am afraid and I don't know what to do now.

I was surprised when I saw the blood with semen in the condom. But I am not suffering from any pain or difficulty in erection or any symptoms that may have related causes. After 15 day I am seeing the blood again with semen, and I am feeling fear. I went to the lab with the sample of semen in a clean container to test. The report says pus cells 3 to 5 HPF, RBC 10 to 15 HPF, and epithelial cells 0-1 HPF, my urinalysis report is clean, as is my PSA test. I don’t know what to do.

I'm 53. I've had blood in my semen for about 4 to 5 years now. Never any pain. I had vasectomy done some 20 years ago, I'm not diabetic, and I don't drink, very little sodas. Never had kidney stones, no surgery, no biopsy nothing like that. I don’t know what's up.

After finding blood clot in sperm during nightfall I started having pain in the left scrotum and a little bit on the right side also. I have done ultrasound and the report says both the epididymis head, body, and tail are mildly swollen. Mild increased vascularity of the head of the epididymis is seen, and also grade 1 varicocele on either side.

I have had absolutely no other symptoms of any kind; no pain, no fevers, urine is clear. However I have just realized that I am prone to dehydration (I never drink enough water) so that may be a contributing cause to the blood in my semen.

I'm 56 years old. I noticed I had blood in semen about 3 years ago. I went to a doctor and was diagnosed with hematospermia. I also had other unbearable symptoms like urinary frequency and urgency, burning when urinating, pain during ejaculation, and decreased libido. I took several course of antibiotics, but only got temporary relief and the symptoms recurred weeks later. Because of the antibiotic resistance developed after a long term use of antibiotics, I had to change my medications constantly, which made the condition even worse. To ensure a safe and long lasting treatment, I tried a natural remedy called diuretic anti-inflammatory pill. During the treatment, I didn't feel any side effects and the symptoms disappeared gradually by taking 3 month medication. Now, everything goes well, it's really bad memories.

I had a vasectomy at age 30 and a vasectomy reversal at age 45. Blood began appearing in my semen fairly regularly and several times a year I would notice something resembling a blood clot in the toilet after urinating. I am now 60 and notice blood stains on my underwear the day after having sex. Prostate is fine and I have seen several urologists and been on antibiotics but they can find nothing wrong. No pain at all but very frustrating.

I have light burning during urinating, medium pain during ejaculations and blood in semen. I also have swelling of my legs; left foot is swollen much more than the right foot.

I am 56 plus, having history of high blood pressure and hypertension, also having hemifacial spasms (HFS) the effects of which are increasing day by day. Blood sugar is normal. I had a forceful slip fall from the stairs about a year earlier and experiencing pain at the spinal tail end. I feel lots of pain while sitting even on soft surfaces. Now about the blood in ejaculation. We experienced and noticed lots of, and almost completely blood after ejaculation after the intercourse 3 or 4 days earlier, but both my wife and I considered it as some issue with my wife. Today again I had completely blood ejaculation, but thanks to the experiences shared by the fellow friends, though it was quite worrying, going through your comments we feel a lot relaxed. Many thanks to this website, it's been so supporting. Still my wife is quite worried and we would be visiting our medical consultant.

I first noticed blood in my semen about 6 years ago. I went to see a urologist right away. He put me on antibiotics and asked me to refrain from coffee for two months but that did not help. What has helped was eating large amounts of pomegranates. I discovered it by chance within the first year of my symptoms. For the next five years I've been mostly blood free as long as I stuck to my pomegranate diet. When pomegranates were out of season blood in semen returned. Things got worse in the past five months when blood in semen started appearing again in large quantities despite my eating the fruit. Accidentally or not that coincides with me going through divorce and thus having extra stress but no sex life. I still masturbate 2 to 3 times a week but that does not seem to help. I'd be curious to hear anybody else finding connection between particular fruit/diet or supplement and blood in semen.

After noticing blood in what I presumed to be semen, I went to the doctor who referred me for investigation, my bladder was clear but my left kidney showed enlargement. After a CT scan my left kidney was removed and a 40 mm tumor grade 2 discovered. I have recovered well but still have blood in my semen. Lucky me!

I have blood in my semen for the last two years, it has pink color and thin like water. I don't have any pain at all. My CT scan result shows that I have mild enlargement of prostate gland and my blood test result shows TPSA 1.8 I and am on the way to take biopsy.

My hubby is in his 60s. He’s had blood in his semen and he’s scared to go to the doctors about it.

I experienced this blood in sperm personally. It is very distressing to see the blood, regardless of little or much, brown or red. I went to the urologist and the doctor gave me some antibiotic and some medicine for prostate enlargement. Upon completion of all the medicine, I still see some brownish blood. Then I stumbled over some other site on this hematospermia and a few people have suggested it was dehydration caused by lack of drinking water. I looked at my own life style, indeed it was so. After regular intake of water, I found that the blood disappeared completely. Don’t be frightened, drink more water and it will go away.

I noticed that after ejaculation, there was blood in my semen. I then went to the toilet and my urine was clear. It has been going on all week long. I now have a sharp pain/sting at the base of the head in my penis.

I'm 61 and have had blood in my semen (rust or brown color) ever since I had a prostate biopsy (14 months ago). My Urologist didn't seem concerned about it about 6 months after the surgery. I have also developed ED, which Cialis helps some. I do not have BPH. The biopsy last year did show 2 instances of High Grade PIN. My younger brother (56) had a radical prostatectomy 2 years ago after his biopsy showed an 8 Gleason score. Finally, I was diagnosed with Melanoma 7 months ago which was surgically removed. I'm wondering if I should go see a different doctor. Since my PSA dropped from 5 to 0.2 after the biopsy, my wife thinks I'm overreacting. May be.

Shortly after hip surgery, I began having problems with blood in my semen. I went through a series of tests for kidney and bladder problems and the normal digital rectal exam. At the time, my PSA was around 3-3.6. The condition stopped after about six months and was fine for a year. Then I saw spotting again and now it is in my ejaculations. The PSA went from 4.6 to below 4 when it was checked three months ago. No biopsy has been done and my doctor seems irritated that I seem to be worrying about what he says is benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). I am worried and this affects my quality of life. There seems to be a burning sensation between my rear and testicles.

I am on antibiotics and the blood in my ejaculate seems to be getting slightly worse. I've been on antibiotic treatment for almost a week.
