Four months after my upper and lower eyelid surgery I have lots of very serious itching on my lower right lid, and extreme dryness, more on the right eye. My right eye is very irritated, has a very slight retraction, and very sore. My eye feels like it's being pulled toward the temple area which is also very sore. Lower lid is thicker on the rim, red inside and outside of the rim. My eyes are very tired, affected by air and light. Doesn’t close perfectly.

I had upper and lower lids done 4 months ago, and now have mal-positioning of lower left eye, perhaps contracture. So basically my bottom eyelids are turned downward, and I look older now with droopy bottom lids. The doctor doesn’t want to admit to anything looking off! I have dry left eye. I am going to schedule an appointment to see her soon, and also get a second opinion!

I had upper and lower eye lid surgery 2 weeks ago. I was told to put Neosporin on stitches for several days. Apparently I had a reaction to the Neosporin causing chemosis in both eyes to the point that both eyeballs looked as if they were covered in huge clear blisters. The pain was terrible and I could not see. The doctor prescribed steroid and antibiotic drops and gel and within a few days my eyes were healing again. Still blurry, itchy and dry but healing. I am hoping it will be worth it in the end. One more thing. I cannot take narcotic pain medications so all of this was managed with ice and Tylenol. I consider myself strong but this was really tough!

I recently had lower eyelid surgery and a thread lift of mid face. I woke up with tubular swelling below sack of eyes, look like a football player with black marks on cheek. Face feels like something swollen on upper cheeks too. Looks worse now than before and it is almost 2 weeks!

I am 71 years old. I had upper and lower blepharoplasty on 4/22/14. I had severe itching starting a few days after surgery up to the present, although it is much better now. I used Benadryl, Lortab, allergy drops, several other eye drops, heat pads, and ice packs. I did get relief but the itching continued. My doctor suggested allergy drops and then “Tucks”. He said he did know what else to do, or the cause. I went to my optometrist yesterday and she said my eyes are not healed, are swollen and very dry. She gave me Oasis drops. I am very frustrated, it is over five weeks.
