Blood in urine was first treated as bladder infection by the primary doctor. After 10 days of Cipro it returned and I was referred to a urologist. Cystoscopy revealed tumor and it was removed at TURBT surgery and identified as a TCC (transitional cell carcinoma, a type that recurs every 3 months) and 2nd TURBT 4 months later, revealed 1 more (which was removed). Six weeks later began weekly BCG chemotherapy for 6 weeks. Cystoscopy 3 months later was clear. Six weeks later 3 weekly BCG (half strength maintenance chemotherapy) were administered and at 3 months later there was a clear cystoscopy. If you see pink or red urine get it checked quick.
