My daughter started getting sick in the middle of the night, with vomiting and belly pain. Of course I thought stomach bug and told her to try to get some sleep. Soon she was in my room and moaning in pain. The next morning she came to me and told me her belly hurt so bad and it felt like it has a heartbeat that was throbbing pain. She was still vomiting. When I realized it was lower right quadrant pain I call a friend who's a doctor and she said to go the emergency room as soon as possible! Three hours later she was admitted into the hospital with a ruptured appendix and had appendectomy surgery within the hour. She was only 6. Parents need to really pay extra attention when it comes to stomach pains. Kids explain pain the best they can.
