In September I noticed a small triangle of skin on the bridge of my nose that was slightly pink and had a rough texture. I dismissed it as a scratch from my glasses and ignored it. After a month it was still there. I figured I had been continuing to aggravate it with how I took off my glasses, and tried to be more careful. A month later it was still there. So finally I made time to see my doctor in December, and was referred to a dermatologist. I saw her this morning (now January). She diagnosed it as actinic keratosis. She froze it with liquid nitrogen and I was good to go. The spot never really changed during that time except for flaking off a little skin twice. I have never been to a tanner but have very fair skin that burns easily. I am glad that I got it treated while it was still precancerous.
