I've come to experience a lot of acne due to my lack of exercise and sleep. I also did put a lot of products on my face when I was young. This year I discovered that aloe vera helps a lot when it comes to acne breakouts.

Acne usually gets worse in the summer, and sometimes clears up in the winter. I finally realized that heat activates the growth of acne. Cold temperatures will retard the growth. I started putting an ice pack on my face and 3 or 4 weeks later I could see the difference. When the skin is exposed to warm temperatures, bacteria grows below the surface unseen. Normally the infection will appear on the surface where it's visible approximately three weeks after the skin has been exposed to warm temperatures. I have verified this to be true a number of times, so I am confident what I have stated to be correct. If you put honey on your skin and the next day your skin condition improves, I have a feeling it had nothing to do with the honey. I believe any medication that is applied to the skin will take at least three weeks to work.

I believe the cause of my acne breakouts is hormonal. I have been on birth Control pills since I was 15 just to balance my hormones. I didn"t have acne until I was 19 and that was treated by a number of prescribed gels/creams that helped well. I"m off the birth control now, and my face, neck and chest are filled with hormonal acne again. I need help finding a solution to apply on my skin, since the solution I used was prescribed by my doctor in Europe.

With my experience with acne for over 5 years I came to understand the cause is always the hormonal imbalance in the body. Things like food only aggravates the acne.

I think a lot of things can cause Acne. For example, I can say that all sweet things like chocolate and likewise worsen and causes the acne. Hot and greasy food also cause acne. Sometimes when I eat some dry fruit, like peanuts, also because they are greasy i think.
